If the patient needs urgent care, NHS 111 can now book them in to be seen quickly and safely in A&E, Emergency Departments or Minor Injuries Unit, this includes Swanage Hospital Minor Injuries Unit. If you require urgent care, please call 111 or go online for an assessment. This helps us to provide the right support or treatment as quickly as possible, and could save you an unnecessary journey.
If you turn up unannounced at the MIU, you will be assessed but could be directed elsewhere or given an appointment later that day or the next.
Contact NHS 111 if you’re not sure what support you need, or call 999 for anything life threatening as normal.
